After searching/talking with/getting estimates for months, we decided to go with Scottsdale Flooring America. As a family run business, they really do take pride in the work that they do. The quote was not the cheapest, but was very reasonable for a complete redo of entire floor (1500 square feet). From the initial consultation to the extremely helpful in-store design assistance, we had a great experience. The installation team were on-time, polite, professional, and responsive to our questions. The finished product looks exceptional and the owner, Ed, came out to make sure we were completely satisfied. Plus, they will come back in three-six months to touch up grout or replace any damaged tiles. I would highly recommend Scottsdale Flooring America.

What a pleasure it was to work with this team in updating our vacation home in Scottsdale! We originally went to Flooring America to look at samples because the “friend of a friend” that was going to do our tile couldn’t seem to get us samples on his own. Melissa was a real sweetheart and gave me some great ideas even though I was working with another contractor at the time. In doing a long distance job, communication and reliability are key, and when my original contractor started missing emails, that’s when I gave up and called Melissa and gave the job to Flooring America. They never missed a beat. As our ideas, and project, grew, Ed the owner had to come out a couple of times. He was prompt, easy to wrok with and was full of good ideas. Then came the week long process of tearing out the old and installing the new. The crew was made up of professional, skilled craftsmen who obviously had a great relationship with the store. They showed up on the appointed day with all of their materials ready to go, which is important when you’re scheduling your vacation around this. At the end we had a new tile floor, new carpeting, a new kitchen backsplash and a tiled breakfast bar, that is all just beautiful. On time, on budget, no surprises, and the whole team is a joy to work with. What else can you ask for?

Flooring America installed carpeting in our master bedroom. Todd was a pleasure to work with … I was provided an estimate and an installation date on the same day he visited my home to measure.

Installers arrived on time and did a great job with installation. And the best part, no additional fee for moving my furniture. They even put my bed back together.

Flooring America installed our new wood floors. They did a fantastic job!

I went into the store to look at samples. Everyone at the store was really helpful.

The owner came out to do the measure and give us the estimate for the floors. He had the estimate e-mailed out to me a couple of hours after he left. The price was reasonable. We ended up choosing maple hardwood in varying plank widths (4, 6, and 8 inch).

They moved all of our furniture, including my antique dining room set, with great care.

Their finish work is great. They removed our old baseboards and cut and installed new ones we had purchased. All of the corners and edges look fantastic. They didn’t damage our newly painted walls in any way. Overall, The installers were very professional.

I would definitely use them again. I am thrilled with my new floors!!!!

While the entire staff is very nice here, we have had the pleasure of dealing with Todd and Melissa the most. We have had Flooring America install our carpet and tile and also one of our family members carpet, tile, fireplace and countertop. We just had them do another project for us and had them remove and install a Black Granite countertop and backsplash. We are very happy with everything and would recommend them highly. When we bought our Scottsdale house it needed some updating. One of the last things to do was replace the tile floors. It had an off white 18 inch tile with grout lines that were impossible to keep clean. After a lot of research we settled on 18″ Travertine and opted to also do the living room and the dining room. All told we had over 1,700 sq. ft. of Travertine installed. The bedrooms and the den are still carpeted.

Flooring America did a good job. We went on vacation when they did the installation so they were able to move all of the furniture into the bedrooms. They put plastic over the kitchen cabinets, closet doors and hanging lights. When we came home the house was spotless. They wiped the walls, etc. down after they were finished.

They did have to come back to replace some tiles and that was a bit messy. I don’t know if it has to do with the grout line size (about the width of a dime) but I’ve had some of the grout pop out in a few spots. Easy enough to fix.

All in all, it looks nice. They weren’t the cheapest bid but their references checked out and the AZ Registrar of Contractors didn’t have any complaints on them.

I’d certainly call them in to give me a bid on my next tile job.

We recently had about 1,000 square feet of our flooring replaced for our second story and our stairs (all previously carpet) by Flooring America and we could not be more impressed! From the first interaction when we walked into their store to the final minute of installation, everybody who we interacted with was professional, knowledgeable, kind, and hard-working. They helped us pick out wood laminate and new carpet that were in our budget and were still great quality. The laminate installers were at our house from 8/9 am to 6 pm for two days (Friday and Saturday to fit our schedule!), only took a short lunch break each day and cleaned up after themselves in between and at the end of installation. We moved some of our furniture as needed but they moved things around as they removed the carpet and baseboards, prepped the floors, laid down the underpad and installed the wood laminate and baseboards. The floors look great!! Better than I could have imagined. John was the lead laminate installer and answered any questions we had. The carpet installers came the following Saturday to replace the carpet on our stairs. The majority of the stairs are floating, and they expertly removed and replaced it all quickly and perfectly. They also cleaned up after themselves and the whole process only took a few hours! I would recommend Flooring America to anyone and am so glad we chose them for our project.

We recently had our bathroom remodeled and couldn’t be happier. We used Flooring America about 6 years ago, they were so wonderful that we went back. We worked with Todd to pick out tile for the bathroom, I wanted something special and was getting discouraged, but Todd helped us find just the right thing. We set up an install date and then started talking about our project. We still needed a plumber and granite, Todd gave us some names and numbers of contractors. We used the recommended plumber and granite contractors and they were wonderful wonderful also . The install was nice and easy, Martin came and did a beautiful job. He worked so hard, he was friendly and was a perfectionist. I love our bathroom and am so happy we went with Flooring America.

Very speedy turnaround, excellent service, great prices (we compared with 2 other places), and excellent craftsmanship.

We had a difficult job – stonework fireplace and weird angles that required extreme attention to detail and quality work. They far exceeded our expectations.

Additionally, I had a really difficult time selecting the carpet color for another room. Tory worked with me for over two hours without rushing me. He showed extreme patience and understood that this is an investment that requires consideration.

OK, so here is the deal. We have used this company many times over the last twenty years. In case you are wondering why, it is because EVERY job they have completed for us has been flawless. Ed and his group of installers have installed carpet and or hardwood floors in four houses for us.

It starts as an ordinary enough Easter Sunday with sunrise service. The new carpet is due in two days and clearing out closets and boxing loose items is on the agenda. The problem is that my wife will have an emergency that morning that will hospitalize her for the next two weeks and eight more times after that. Monday, a call to Todd that we are not ready and can’t possibly get ready. His response of “Don’t worry about it” and “take care of your wife” and “we will install the carpet whenever you are ready” were beyond priceless at the time. I said I just can’t be at the hospital and home. I am not sure how we arrived at a solution where I would leave the back door open and he would send five, yes five, installers rather than the usual three but that is what he did. I come home from the hospital Tuesday night at 8:30 PM and the house is completely done. Everything is exactly where it was when I left at 7 that morning. The carpet is installed perfectly. The piece of the old carpet that I wanted was left in the garage. All details were exactly as we agreed. And a large Stone Creek audio/video unit that I was to disassemble, and never did, was right where I left it only with new carpet under it.

Todd and all the others that work at Flooring America may appear to just be a flooring company but I can attest that they are more than that., They are willing to go beyond the expected and my wife and I are thankful for it. My wife called them months later and thanked them with tears in her eyes for their selfless assistance at a time of critical need.

I am extremely happy with my new carpeting just purchased and installed by Flooring America was awesome. Their customer service is first rate. Extremely professional and courteous. Their communication was impressive from the time the took the order thru installation was exactly as promised. Very fast and beyond dependable. I would go nowhere else for future flooring needs.
